Magnús Bragi Magnússon
er fæddur 1969 á Sauðárkróki. Eftir grunnskólinn fór hann í Fjölbrautaskóla NV á málmiðnaðarbraut en fór svo að stunda tamningar ungur að aldri. Árið 1996 keypti hann jörðina Íbishól og hef stundað tamningar þar síðan.

Magnus Bragi Magnusson was born 1969 in Skagafjörður, North West Iceland. He lived the first 10 years of his life at Holar Agricultural Collage where his father  worked training the school's horses. Magnus was attracted to riding and training horses at a very young age- his father had to ride him home in the evening so his mother could put him to bed!

After primary school he went to college in Sauðárkrókur (Saudarkrokur) and started  training horses on his own full time, and has been training and competing ever since.

In 1996 he bought the farm Ibisholl near  Varmahlið in Skagafjörður.  His most famous stallion, Fengur fra Ibisholl, was born there in 1992. Fengur became the highest evaluated stallion in the 5 year old breeding class in the World Championship held in Norway in 1997.

In 1999 Johann Skulasson became the World Champion in Tölt on Fengur.

Fengur's sister (from the same mother), Ósk frá Ibisholl, was the highest evaluated 5 year old mare for riding abilities the year 2003 with 8.77.

Magnus has been competing and showing breeding horses his whole life, and is committed to continuing to improve the breed and the training of his horses. He also does shoing and floating teeth and has a big interest in dental care for the horses.

He has numerous high placing in competitions throughout Iceland and he is also a sport competition judge.

Íbishóll

The farm is 310 hectares (766 acres) and we own approximately 80-90 horses. I have 13-15 breeding mares which gets foals every year. My breeding goal is easily ridden and willing five-gaited horse with soft and high movements. However, the breeding goal is not always what I get, so I train and sell all kinds of horses.
